What a feast of treasures lie in store for visitors to our art galleries this season.

Whatever the Autumn/Winter months plan to throw at us, the Maclaurin and Rozelle galleries offer a comfort blanket of delights in the form of three major exhibitions.

An explosion of styles and techniques are on display at the annual exhibition to raise funds for Save the Children. Our cover image is just a sample of the warmth you’ll find on show there.

Meanwhile, Peter Foyle’s exhibition will transport visitors to warmer climes through his depictions of continental street scenes and countrysides - alongside more than a few items created here in Ayrshire, in Glasgow and on the isles.

Ayr Photographic Society have put a selection of the finest works of their membership in a memorable display which runs until January next year.

And elsewhere in this issue of the magazine we catch up with some local artists and take a look at art, music and entertainment events throughout Ayrshire.
