LISA HOOPER, ASWLA - WILDLIFE PRINTMAKER

Lisa Hooper is a wildlife printmaker living and working in the South West of Scotland. She works in many mediums, including woodcut and etching to achieve the highly collectible images that are presented at this exhibition LISA HOOPER - WILDLIFE PRINTS.

The Retrospective Continued

From Saturday 3rd July to 5th September the Maclaurin Gallery hosted a major Retrospective Exhibition by one of Scotland's foremost painters, John Lowrie Morrison, known to all as Jolomo.
The exhibition spanned his entire career from schooldays when it was always his ambition to be a painter, through his time at the GSA, to the present day. Jolomo paintings are held in many important collections across the globe and his colourful, evocative cards, calendars and prints which so beautifully document his beloved Scottish homeland are to be found in many homes.
As well as the retrospective exhibition of his work Jolomo produced a small number of paintings that were for sale.

Ayr Photographic Society Online Exhibition

Ayr Photographic Society was founded at the start of the 20th Century and has been nurturing the art and science of photography over the intervening decades.
The images presented within this exhibition are captured digitally allowing the photographer to easily store the results or to print in the manner of a traditional film-captured picture.
During the Covid pandemic the Society has continued to meet weekly via Zoom with the unanticipated bonus of enjoying presentations from photographers throughout the UK and beyond.
These photographs are the result of the club's Annual Digital Projected Images Competition which was judged by Neil Macgregor LRPS, DPAGB on 11th March 2021.

The Club was founded in 1901 by local artists keen to share artistic knowledge and develop their skills, a tradition that 120 years on continues today. Our artists offer a diverse and colourful selection of works for sale, with more than 70 paintings on display.
